This January transfer market is always a period of significant speculation and possible big-money moves. Numerous high-profile stars find themselves linked with transfers out of their current teams. We examine some of the major figures who could be on the move in January.

A. Semenyo

Despite the Black Stars' inability to qualify for the AFCON, this has kept the player in contention, it appears a significant move is close. The Bournemouth attacker possesses a contract featuring a sizeable release clause active for a short window in early January. Latest developments indicate the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his services. Former suitors like Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have turned their attention to other targets, potentially opening the door for teams like Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late move.

Marc Guéhi

The English defender has continued to excel for Palace this season a previous move to Liverpool falling through. With his contract due to expire in the summer, January is the club's last opportunity to obtain a transfer fee for their captain. Numerous elite sides, such as Manchester City and multiple European giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, reportedly hold an interest. Yet, a winter departure remains unlikely, particularly given the manager's reliance on the defender.

B. Johnson

The Wales winger has found starting opportunities hard to come by at Tottenham this campaign. Despite finishing as the side's leading goalscorer the previous campaign, he has started just a handful of league games. It is understood the London outfit is willing to consider a sale for the correct valuation, believed to be in the around forty million pounds. Bournemouth appear to be leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also credited with an interest.

R. Neves

The Portugal playmaker might be poised for a comeback to the English top flight after a spell in Saudi Arabia. Now just twenty-eight, and with his agreement ending in the summer of 2026, he is a possible opportunity. Teams such as Liverpool and Manchester United are connected to the former Wolves man. Additionally, there are suggestions from Spain that he would be prepared to accept a pay cut for a switch to the Spanish giants.

Marc-André ter Stegen

The veteran Germany goalkeeper is now as the third option at Barcelona following new coach Flick. Having fallen out of favour and had an operation, a January departure seems increasingly probable. Aston Villa were initially linked as a potential suitor, but that move currently seems off. Instead, interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are reportedly expressing interest in the keeper.

I. Toney

The proven England striker has kept scoring frequently in Saudi Arabia. A return to the Premier League might boost his fading chances of making the national squad.
